For students of the Engineer’s Program in Civil Engineering (ECE), each class session with industry partners offers a valuable opportunity to gain deeper insight into their future careers.
Since early 2026, the “Career Orientation” course has provided students with opportunities to meet and engage with 8 reputable companies operating in the construction sector in both Vietnam and Japan. In addition to guest lectures delivered at VJU by company representatives, students have also participated in three on-site visits to observe working environments and operational processes firsthand.
According to Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, the course coordinator, all course content is developed and delivered by industry managers, while lecturers play a coordinating role and provide interpretation support when necessary. This approach enables students to acquire practical knowledge, better understand industry requirements, and gradually shape their career pathways.
“This is also an excellent opportunity for students to undertake their graduation internships and apply for full-time positions,” Dr. Dung shared, adding that many students have given positive feedback on the course and expressed interest in working with the participating companies.
