President of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers talks with VJU’s MCE students

On February 10^th 2023, Mr. Tamon Ueda, President of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers visited Vietnam Japan University. After the meeting with Prof. Furuta Motoo – Rector, Mr. Ueda had a short discussion with lecturers and students of the Master’s program in Civil Engineering (MCE).

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vinh –  lecturer of MCE Program gave an overall introduction about the program and added some outstanding points about MCE lecturers and students.

Mr. Ueda, who has a lot of experience in the field of civil engineering was interested in the research fields of MCE students, and gave concrete advices to each student in the Q&A session right afterward. He also advised and oriented students who want to study PhD in Japan.

With the expectation that MCE program will continue to provide the high quality manpower for Japan and Vietnam in the field of civil engineering, the Japan Society of Civil Engineers and VJU’s MCE program have confirmed to promote their collaboration since 2023.
