【VJUxAEON】SEMINAR: AEON VIETNAM CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY

On April 21, 2023, VJU students had the opportunity to attend a seminar on the topic “AEON Vietnam corporate sustainability”, organized by AEON at Vietnam Japan University. The speaker at the seminar was Ms. Nguyen Bang Lang, currently holding the position of CSR Deputy Manager at Aeon Vietnam Co.,ltd.

At the seminar, Ms. Nguyen Bang Lang shared about AEON’s basic principle, projects/activities following AEON Vietnam’s 3P sustainability model (Planet – Profit – People); and strategic goals in Vietnam, in which SDG12 “Responsible consumption and production” as the key focus.

Following, AEON also shares the future ideas about AEON’s Environment Key focus to tackle in Mid-term (to 2025): Product loss in the supply chain; Plastic waste reduction; Food waste reduction; CO2 emission (+ tree planting).

At the seminar, VJU students had the opportunity to listen to the sharing of opportunities to work at AEON, as well as scholarships and internship programs at AEON specifically for students of Vietnam Japan University. At the end of the lecture, AEON’s representative once again emphasized based on the basic principle of AEON: “Pursuing Peace, Respecting Humanity, and Contributing to local Community, always with the customer’s point of view as its core”, AEON practices our “Customer-First” philosophy with our ever-lasting innovative spirit.
