In the morning of February 06, 2017, the Rector Board of Vietnam Japan University (VJU) and JICA’s Chief Adviser at VJU, Mr. Satoru Kohiyama paid a spring visit and delivered 2017 New Year greetings to all master students of the University.
At the meeting, Rector Furuta Motoo delivered New Year greetings to all students of VJU. On this year-opening occasion, Rector Furuta Motoo outlined major events in the past year – the first semester of the enrolled students as well as VJU, naming the opportunity for the students to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the framework of His visit to Vietnam last January.
Rector Furuta Motoo emphasized: “In both Vietnam and Japan, high expectation is placed on the Vietnam Japan University. The responsibility to meet this expectation largely falls on the shoulders of our students. In the future, the University will continue striving to provide the best conditions for students’ learning and research.”
Rector Professor Dr. Furuta Motoo delivered new year greetings and messages to all students.
On behalf of the students, Trinh Duc Truong, student of the Master’s Program in Infrastructure Engineering wished Happy New Year to the Rector Board, all staff, faculties, Japanese experts and students of VJU. Truong shared that, as member of VJU, every student wished to contribute to the development of the University. Thus, in 2017, as well as in the future, the students would strive to study, work and conduct research for the development of not only oneself but also VJU, contributing to build the University to became one of the leading universities in Vietnam and the region.
At the end of the meeting, in a joyful and warm atmosphere, following the traditional culture of Vietnam and Japan, the Rector Board presented lucky red envelopes to all students, representing new year wishes for good luck, happiness and success.
