Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vinh became a lecturer of MIE, Vietnam Japan University since January 2021. He received Bachelor of Road and Bridge Engineering from National University of Civil Engineering in 2011, Master in Civil Engineering from the above university in 2014 and Doctor in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Sejong University in 2019. In 2020, he worked as a postdoctor at Sejong University.
In research, Dr. Vinh has done research in the microstructure of structural steel under several loading conditions, such as high loading rates, low-cycle fatigue, high-cycle fatigue, and stress relaxation of high tensile steel; application of nanoindentation technology and machine learning into the prediction of mechanical properties of steels. Prominent in the experimental approach, Dr. Vinh has multiple experiences in application of modern technology and machine of the world in his research in microstructure of structural steels and high-strength steels. As the results, he has a number of publications and works published in the top journals on materials science. He has performed as a leader in government projects supported by a grant from the Technology Advancement Research Program (TARP) funded by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Korean government.
“I am very honored to be a member of Vietnam-Japan University, which is a symbol of the relationship between the two countries. I will try my best to contribute to the sustainable development of MIE as well as to increase VJU’s reputation.”
