Vietnam Japan University is honored to have three representative student groups participate in the contest and be in the TOP 10 “YOUth4RespBiz” contest”, in which one group won the top prize.
On the afternoon of August 16, at the Green One UN House, the final round of the”YOUth4RespBiz” design contest took place, with the participation of the top 10 teams. The contest is a creative playground for Vietnamese youth to express their views and contributions to responsible business and sustainable consumption – through eye-catching and meaningful.
The #Y0Uth4RespBiz design contest is an activity within the framework of the communication campaign of the same name, organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vietnam in collaboration with UNIQLO Vietnam and Movers Program.

The KiDs&Earth team consists of four members: Mr. Lai Thanh Dat, Ms. Mai Ngan Giang, Ms. Pham Nguyen Bao Chau and Ms.Trinh Ha An, with the design conveying the message “Kid will Shape the sustainable business,” – affirming the role of the young generation in shaping and developing sustainable businesses.

The Empress team consists of five members: Ms. Tran Hai Yen, Ms. Le Van Binh, Ms. Truong Thuc Anh, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nga and Ms. Nguyen Trang Nhung, with a design conveying the message “Unique be slow” which means “uniqueness (of fashion) should slow down”, it goes against the purpose and nature of “fast fashion” and figuratively means “Độc nhất vô nhị” – to condemn fast fashion for not only causing directly affects the environment but also reflects the lack of awareness of consumers in modern society.

The Fashion Warriors team consists of five members: Ms.Nguyen Bao Ha, Mr. Bui Thai Khoi, Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Mr. Phan Hoang Duong, Ms. Nguyen My Anh, with designs carrying the message “No more plastic” – to raise consumer awareness about habits of using and handling plastic waste.

“During the contest, we have the opportunity to train and self-study on the topic “Responsible Business and Sustainable Consumption”, and learn about the principles and goals that businesses around the world and Vietnam are complying with and working towards ensuring the achievement of goal number 12 of the 17 sustainable development goals.
After the competition, we were able to see the overall picture of sustainable development implementation in the world as well as in Vietnam. In addition, an equally important thing when participating in this contest is that the contest allowed us to work together as a team, learn how to allocate time appropriately for meetings, and take advantage of the strengths of each member to bring the best results. ” – VJU student representative shared.
