On October 19, 2023, Dr. Hoang Thi Thu Duyen, the Standing Deputy Chief of the R&D Promotion and Cooperation Development Office at Vietnam Japan University (VJU), and Dr. Dang Minh Hieu, Program Director of the Engineer’s Program in Food Technology & Health/ a lecturer of the Engineer’s Program in Smart Agriculture and Sustainability at VJU, visited Yoshinoya Farm in Shin Shirakawa, Fukushima.
During their exchange with Mr. Kunio Takita (Executive Director and Farm Chief of Yoshinoya Farm Fukushima Co., Ltd.), they discussed various challenges and prospects related to Japanese agriculture. In particular, the dialogue centred around the transmission of traditional agricultural knowledge to the next generation and strategies for addressing similar challenges in emerging countries.
In addition, there were in-depth discussions about the future of the collaborative structures and program partnerships with Ms. Wirachpan Sutharat (Division Manager of the Global HR Recruitment Strategy Division, Group Management Headquarters at Yoshinoya Holdings) and Mr. Naoyuki Nagahiro (Senior Advisor in the Global HR Recruitment Strategy Division).
The visit signifies a major step towards reinforcing the enduring collaboration between VJU and Yoshinoya Farm. A deeper and more fruitful cooperation between the two entities is eagerly anticipated in the future.
