Today (September 22, 2023), Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Princess Akishino visited Vietnam Japan University (VJU), and had a discussion with faculty and students (Bachelor and Master Program) of VJU.
During the discussion, a group of students from the Bachelor program in Japanese Studies first shared their experience of participating in the Nikkei STEAM 2023 Symposium “Student Summit: Future Earth Conference” and winning the Global Award for their project proposal focusing on improving sanitation education for the poor in the pandemic. Next, a group of students from the Bachelor program in Japanese Studies and the Bachelor program in Computer Science & Engineering presented their experience of winning the YOUth4RespBiz design contest sponsored by UNDP and UNIQLO. In addition, a group of master’s students and faculty members gave presentations on their research activities at VJU.
Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Princess Akishino listened with great interest to the efforts of the students and were impressed by the great efforts of the students to provide solutions to global problems. The VJU will continue to strive for further development as a university that addresses global issues.
