The University of Tokyo students visit the sustainable coffee farm of Engneer’s Program in Smart Agriculture and Sustainability, Vietnam Japan University

On August 25, 2023, the program of Smart and Sustainable Agriculture (ESAS) of Vietnam Japan University was pleased to welcome and introduce to the students of the University of Tokyo the current status of Vietnam’s agriculture through some agricultural models that ESAS teachers are implementing at the farm near Hoa Lac.

For the first time, Japanese students were able to directly observe coffee trees and listen to ESAS lecturer’ sharing on how to grow coffee sustainably, as well as learn why it is important to keep grass in dragon fruit gardens.

The lesson took place passionately on the coffee farm and in the classroom, with many interesting questions showing the interest of Japanese youth in the transformation of sustainable agricultural farming models in Vietnam.

In the afternoon, the students of the University of Tokyo had a meeting and shared with the students of Vietnam Japan University. Internationalization of the learning environment has become a global education trend. The Vietnam Japan University is dedicated to providing enriching and unforgettable experiences for all students. Through these experiences, students can gain valuable practical knowledge and cultivate a keen interest in global issues, as well as a deeper appreciation for the nation of Vietnam.
