Overview: The presentation will review the economic situation of Vietnam in 2021 in the context of COVID-19 and discuss the planned economic recovery program that is expected to be implemented in 2022-2023.
Speaker: Dr. Dang Duc Anh (Vice President of CIEM)
Dr. Dang Duc Anh is Vice President, Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM), Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam. He has dedicated much of his time to public policy in Vietnam. His current research specializes in the macroeconomy, trade, labor market and economic development in ASEAN countries, especially Vietnam. His research has been published in various academic journals, including Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Development Studies, Food Policy, and Energy Policy. He is also a member of Board of Advisors to Southeast Asia Research Group, which promotes the best new research by young social scientists working on Southeast Asian politics. He works as a consultant to many international organizations such as UNDP, USAID, World Bank, Oxfam, GIZ, and ADB. Mr. Dang Duc Anh received both his Master of International and Development Economics and Ph.D. in Economics from Australian National University.
