On May 27, 2023, Rector VJU – Professor Furuta Motoo and VJU students participated in the 3rd Sakura Science Club Vietnam (SSCV) Alumni meeting held in Hanoi, where Rector Furuta delivered a keynote speech.
During his speech, Rector Furuta highlighted past programs in Minamata City and Waseda University in which VJU students participated. He expressed hope that the Sakura Science Program will be utilized by Member Universities of the VJU Liaison Organization Collaborating to promote international exchange through the Sakura Science Program, thereby deepening mutual understanding between the two countries and strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
The VJU students who served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event were highly appreciated by the participants for their skillful conduct of each session in English.
The Sakura Science Program is organized by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) to facilitate exchanges in the field of science and technology between young people from foreign countries and regions and Japanese youth. Participants in this program have the opportunity to learn about the latest research findings and technologies in Japan, broadening their international perspectives.
