Speaker: Mr. Yasutaka Kawamura, President of YOSHINOYA HOLDINGS 13:00 – 15:00, Friday, December 1, 2017.
Venue: Vietnam Japan University, Vietnam National University, Ha Noi.
In 1899, a small restaurant named Yoshinoya was opened in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Perhaps, the founder of Yoshinoya could not even imagine that his restaurant would remain in business and expanded greatly for more than 100 years. Yoshinoya, once a family-run business, has grown into an international fast food chain with about 3,000 stores in Japan and all over the world (*).
In the context of globalization and multinationalism, it is common for a firm to thrive for international growth. However, back in the 970s, what urged an average food company in Japan to enter the United States market and eventually to join the global market? How could a domestic firm make its way into the global market? How can it retain its core values and secure its position on the international market?
Join Mr. Yasutaka Kawamura, President of YOSHINOYA HOLDINGS for a special lecture titled “Reasons for Yoshinoya’s massive global expansion” at Vietnam Japan University, Vietnam National University, Ha Noi.
This is one in a series of open lectures to be organized by Vietnam Japan University in an effort to bridge connection between leaders, managers, academics, scientists in different fields and our students, faculty members as well as interested participants.
