Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is a new university model in Vietnam, the seventh member university under Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU), envisaged to become an internationally recognized university, and a symbol of the close and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

Job Purpose
To deliver PR and produce print, digital and online content on behalf of VJU, to enhance the university’s profile and reputation.
Required duties and responsibilities
- Construct and implement the annual PR campaigns and develop media relation strategies of VJU:
- Edit and update promotional material and publications on all VJU’s channels (website, social network, media…)
- Create wide range, and up to date marketing communications contents and media coverage of VJU events and activities when constantly collaborating with VJU wider communities (staff, students, alumni, partners);
- Prepare periodically reports to Rectorate board;
- Analyze and identify current media trends to improve VJU profile.
- Work closely with Student recruitment/Admissions division in:
- Promoting admission events and activities;
- Publicizing admission information (announcements, schedule, results, etc.);
- Distributing admission materials.
- Manage PR issues, liaise with media and other relevant parties.
Qualifications
- Education: University Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
- Work experience:
- Experience in PR, communications, marketing or similar role;
- Experience managing media relations.
- Familiar with Japanese academic working style is an advantage.
- Foreign language: Be fluent in spoken and written English (IELTS 6+). Proficiency in Japanese will be considered an advantage.
- Preferred skills:
- Proficient in MS Office and social media
- Strong communication skills (effective oral and written skills, both in English and Vietnamese).
- Familiarity with graphic design is an advantage.
- Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and ability to cope under pressure.
- Creativity and willingness to learn
- Organizational skills, time management.
- Good teamwork, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Attitudes:
- High commitment to deadline.
- Highly responsible toward work.
- Cooperation, accountability and services oriented.
What VJU can offer
Successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package comprising of:
- Basic monthly salary: negotiable depending on candidate’s profile;
- Monthly meal allowances: 700,000 VND;
- Others: following VJU’s regulation.

Recruitment process
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by recruitment committee established by the Rector.
Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (2 months’ probation period). The Incumbent can be offered another 2-year contract upon the satisfaction of his/her performance.
