Jan 6, 2017, Vietnam Japan University (VJU) holds a working session with representatives of Hitachi Group in Vietnam. During the engagement, opportunities unfold for cooperation between the two sides in various areas, including scholarship, internship, and study visit programs for Vietnam Japan University’s students in the future.
On behalf of VJU, Assoc. Prof. Doc. Vu Anh Dzung, Standing Vice Rector, and Mr. Satoru Kohiyama, VJU’s Chief Advisor, receive representatives of Hitachi Group in Vietnam – Mr. Hiroaki Yoshie and Mr. Tran Vinh Ky Son from Hitachi Asia (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.

During the engagement, Mr. Tran Vinh Ky Son presented an introductory briefing of Hitachi Group and Hitachi Asia (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. Hitachi Group is a multi-sector conglomerate operating in diversified business segments, including information technology, social infrastructure, medicine and healthcare, along with other products and services. Notably, Hitachi’s representatives draw audience’s special attention to the ICT Solution Business that Hitachi Vietnam is providing. During the meeting, Hitachi Plant’s significant past and present projects in Vietnam are also cited as proof for the Group’s successes and long-term commitment in Vietnam.

On behalf of VJU, Standing Vice Rector Vu Anh Dzung gives an overview of VJU and exchanges views with Hitachi on opportunities for future cooperation, especially in providing scholarship, internship, and study visit programs for VJU’s students. VJU constantly seeks for and welcomes opportunities to work with domestic and foreign partners, especially Japanese prominent companies and groups.
The Hitachi Group and VJU also discuss and share experience on avant-garde solutions for higher education management being used in pioneering countries around the world, including Japan. These education management solutions make use of edging IT developments, such as smart cards, to enable comprehensive management of universities, covering from student management, library management, finance management, infrastructure management, to academic management, with an aim to boost management effectiveness and efficiency.
