Mr. Kunihiko MIYAKE, Special Advisor to Cabinet, gave special lecture to VJu students

On March 4th, 2021, Mr. Kunihiko MIYAKE, Special Advisor to the Cabinet, gave a special lecture about regional situation at Vietnam Japan University (VJU). From the end of February, VJU has started “Lecture Series Commemorating Prime Minister SUGA’s Visit to VJU: Internship 1” for mainly the students of Bachelor’s Japanese Studies Program, in line with the content of Prime Minister Suga’s Policy Speech in October last year (“Building together the future of Indo-Pacific”), and this was a kick-off for the lecture series conducted by the guest speaker.

During the online lecture, to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, only some undergraduate students attended in the classroom, and many other students (including master’s program students), VJU faculties, and staff from related organizations attended online.

Mr. MIYAKE explained clearly about the geopolitical thinking and regional affairs citing examples from ancient times to the present. The lecture by Mr. Miyake, who has conducted research activities in a wide range of fields, was a valuable opportunity for the students of VJU.

“Lecture Series Commemorating PM SUGA’s Visit to VJU: Internship 1” is conducted as a regular course of bachelor’s program to describe Japan-Vietnam Relations. After the lecture by Mr. MIYAKE, significant lectures will be conducted with cooperation from many institutions and Vietnamese-Japanese enterprises.
