Lecturer in the field of Intelligent Mechatronics System and Japanese Manufacturing (MJM)

VJU invites applications for position of Full-time Lecturer in the field of Intelligent Mechatronics System and Japanese Manufacturing (MJM).

Required duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a Lecturer in the field of Intelligent Mechatronics System and Japanese Manufacturing (MJM). She or he will teach, conduct research and provide specialized academic advices to students in that field. Some key required duties and responsibilities as follows:

1. Teaching: equivalent to 270 standard hours per year, in which at least 50% is direct onsite or online teaching hour.
2. Research: having research activities equivalent to 1000 working hour per year; and being first author/Corresponding author of at least 01 articles in WoS/SCOPUS journals per year.
3. Office hours for students (for advising students): 08 hours/week.
4. Involvement in attracting talented students, building relationship with enterprises,
   organizing international scientific conferences and developing VJU’s brand, and
   contribution to develop and maintain VJU as an international Centre of Excellence.

Qualifications

1. Requirement for academic degree: Doctoral degree (PhD)
2. Requirement for working experiences: 02 years of teaching after PhD graduation.
3. Requirement for research fundraising experiences: 01 fundraising success.
   Please list out in your CV all funds you have successfully raised (year, funding
   organizations, and amount)!
4. Requirement for publication: First author/Corresponding author of at least 02 articles in ISI journals.
5. Ability to be flexible with certain days when needed to teach.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is required.

Recruitment process

• The review of applications and nominations will continue until the position is filled. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Evaluation Committee appointed by the Rector.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract. Tenure-track or extension of the contract can be offered upon performances.
