Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is a new university model in Vietnam, the seventh member university under Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU), envisaged to become an internationally recognized university, and a symbol of the close and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
As VNU’s member university, VJU can leverage upon VNU’s intrinsic advantages and resources. In parallel, VJU coordinates intensively with prestigious universities in Japan such as University of Tokyo, Osaka University, University of Tsukuba, Yokohama National University, Waseda University, Ritsumeikan University, Ibaraki University to meet the needs of Vietnamese and also Japanese higher education.

Required duties and responsibilities
1. Office organization:· Develop rules and regulations on functions and tasks of the center and units under the center· Manage the center’s lecturers, staff and students according to the University’s regulations and relevant laws;2. Training:· Organize the selection and/or development, compilation, appraisal, and provision of Japanese language training programs and materials according to current regulations, meeting the needs of learners.· Organize and provide training programs to improve Japanese language proficiency and Japanese teaching skills for Japanese teachers.· Organize and provide specialized Japanese language training programs for people working in organizations and businesses with Japanese elements.· Issue certificates of completion of training programs organized by the center and certificates of completion of foreign language training and fostering programs when the center meets all conditions according to the provisions of law.3. Finance and facilities:· Manage the center’s finances and assets according to the regulations of the competent authority establishing the center and according to the provisions of law.4. Other tasks:· Coordinate with units in implementing the University’s plans and tasks related to the Center.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Work experience:
- Minimum 2 years working experiences in similar position;
- Working experience using Japanese language will be considered an advantage.
- Foreign language:
- High Proficiency in Japanese (N1 or N2).
- Good English proficiency will be considered an advantage.
- Preferred skills:
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of the Internet.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment; approachable and professional; problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self-motivated; well organized.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and teamwork skills.
- Attitudes:
- High commitment to deadline.
- Highly responsible toward work.
- Responsibility, accountability and services oriented.

Recruitment process
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Recruitment Committee established by the Rector.
Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (2 months’ Probationary Period). The Incumbent can be offered another 2-year contract upon the satisfaction of his/her performance.
