In the context of the rapid internationalization of higher education and the growth of graduate schools in domestic universities, the role and importance of study abroad is changing in ASEAN countries.
Opening with an overview of on-going research project on the impact of study abroad by JICA Ogata RI and findings of a comparative analysis of data from the four ASEAN countries, the seminar will examine the impact of faculty member’s study abroad experience on university development and provide implications for Vietnam’s future higher education development strategies. The seminar provides Japan’s latest foreign student policy as a springboard for discussing future policy directions as well.
