Job purpose

Provide IT support to activities of VJU

Main duties and responsibilities

• Implementing installation, configuration, troubleshooting and how-to support for software by periodically installing the upgrades, service packs and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining the regular data backup, testing of backup/restore periodically.
• Supporting or advertising based on the IT acknowledgment.
• Activate / Deactivate / change the Employee ID Card / E-mail Account / Domain Account (include Folder Access permission) / Client VPN account / File Storage Services, (re)configuration of Router, Switch, WLAN, Cybozu Account, Exporting the Video file from Security Camera, support for TV conference or Remote-class connection.
• Website Management.
• ISP coordination for the Telecommunication services: Guide users on backing up personal data residing on local PCs; Coordinate and follow up with vendors for IN-warranty and out-of-warranty equipment under maintenance contracts for timely repair.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Education: Engineering / Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Work experience: Demonstrated experience in IT, especially in education sector.
• Foreign language: Proficiency in communication and writing in English and / or Japanese is preferred.
• Preferred skills:
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of the Internet.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make deadlines.
  • Demonstrates good judgment; approachable and professional; problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self-motivated; well organized.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and teamwork skills.
• Attitudes:
  • High commitment to deadline.
  • Highly responsible toward work.
  • Having energy and enthusiasm for education.
  • Responsibility, accountability and services oriented.

Salary and Benefit

Successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package comprising of:

• Basic monthly salary: negotiable;

Recruitment process

• Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a Jury established by the Rector.
• Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract with 02 months’ probation period. The Incumbent can be offered another 2-year contract upon the satisfaction of his/her performance.
