From July 3 to July 9, VJU students participated in the Sakura Science Program during an internship at the Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center in Fukuoka City (Japan). The participants included students of the Master Program in Area Studies (MAS) and students of the Bachelor Program in Japanese Studies (BJS) of Vietnam Japan University.
Participating in the program, VJU students can learn and practice three main topics include: urban economic development policy, social welfare regime, and environmental issues. During the program, VJU students visited and interacted with students from Fukuoka Women’s University, Nakamura Gakuen University, and Seinan Gakuin University on the topics related to the above.
In addition, the delegation also visited the Fukuoka Water Recycling Plant and the support development center for Start-ups.
At the end of the program, Vietnamese students gave speeches on welfare issues, Vietnam’s economic development policies as well as environmental issues of waste treatment in Vietnam and compared and learned from Japan with the participation of lecturers of the Japanese Studies Program and JICA experts of VJU.
