On May 17, 2023, BJS students attended a special lecture presented by Mr. Kamoshita, Director of Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd. This special lecture is part of a series of lectures with the theme “Japanese Management”, within the framework of the cooperation program between Vietnam Japan University and Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd.
Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of precision parts for racing and aircraft engines in Japan and worldwide. The lecture was taught by three experts from Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd., with the main speakers being Mr. Kamoshita, Director of Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd.; Mr. Bui Binh Dan, Director of Koganei Seiki Branch in Vietnam; and Mr. Ngo Duc Bac, currently working at the Maebashi Factory of Koganei Seiki Company.

At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Kamoshita, Director of Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd., shared with VJU students about the topic of human resource management in enterprises in Japan, with three main contents presented, including a brief history of human resource management systems after the war, the current labor situation in Japan, and characteristics of Japanese-style human resource management.

After that, Mr. Bui Binh Dan, Director of the Koganei Seiki Branch in Vietnam, shared about “Vietnamese human resource management at Koganei Seiki company.” With this topic, the speaker worked with BJS students to find answers to five big questions, specifically: Why does Japan use so many foreign workers?; Why does Koganei Seiki employ Vietnamese workers in the form of lifelong employment?; What difficulties do Vietnamese workers in Japan face? How did Koganei Seiki make Vietnamese people stick together for a long time? What are the benefits of using Vietnamese workers for lifelong employment? From Mr. Dan’s sharing, the students have a somewhat better understanding of the work and daily life of Vietnamese engineers while working in Japan.

At the end of the lecture, the students had the opportunity to talk directly with engineers currently working at the Maebashi factory of Koganei Seiki Company, Japan. Mr. Ngo Duc Bac broadcast live in Japan to share with you the work of each position at the factory.
After the end of the lecture, experts from Koganei Seiki and VJU students thanked each other respectfully and took commemorative photos together in the lecture hall. VJU believes that in the future, Koganei Seiki Co., Ltd. will continue to be a companion of VJU and will bring students more valuable lectures and practical experiences.
