Introduction
The Master's program in Area Studies of Vietnam Japan University, VNU, Hanoi has the following goals:
- Providing advanced knowledge of Area Studies (Japanese Studies including Japanese Education/Vietnamese Studies) for students based on a modern theoretical system, research methods and approaches Interdisciplinary studies are being applied in the international scientific community, especially at leading universities and research institutes in Japan and Vietnam.
- Provides comprehensive, updated and comprehensive knowledge on issues related to Japan and Vietnam (including issues in the fields of social sciences, humanities and natural sciences, mainly are geography, environmental resources, sustainable development)
- Students have the ability to survey, research and explain issues or phenomena raised in the practice of sustainable development in Japan, Vietnam and other regions using an interdisciplinary approach.

3. Interview method
Candidates for the exam can choose one of the following two interview methods: Face-to-face interview:
- Candidates come to the school’s training facility to participate in a face-to-face interview with the Board of Examiners;
- Online Interview: Candidates who, due to geographical or work conditions, cannot come for a face-to-face interview at the School can propose to the Admissions Council to allow an online interview via an Internet connection.
