With the aim of becoming a bridge between Vietnamese and Japanese education as expected by the two governments, the Vietnam Japan University (member of VNUHN) is actively promoting cooperative relations with universities in Viet Nam and Japan. Though just launching into operation for over a year, the University has established cooperative relationships with 30 universities in Japan and 12 universities in all three regions of Vietnam.

On April 24th and April 25th, 2017, the mission of Vietnam Japan University (VJU) presided by Rector Prof. Dr. Furuta Motoo visited and worked at Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa) and Vinh University (Nghe An).

Contents of the exchange between VJU and Hong Duc University as well as Vinh University focuses on introducing the strengths of each party and developing cooperation in specific fields such as exchanges of students and faculty members, Japanese language training, etc., and cooperation in training and research in general.
In the spirit of openness and forward-looking, the meetings have been successful. It is expected that in near time, VJU will be signing a memorandum of cooperation with Hong Duc University and Vinh University.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Furuta Motoo, and leaders and lecturers of VJU met with about 250 final-year students from Hong Duc University and more than 400 final-year students from Vinh University.
Other exchange activities took place in a solemn and friendly atmosphere. Students learned more about the history, mission, philosophy and training programs that VJU is implementing in Vietnam. On the other hands, VJU learned more of the dreams and future prospects of students are standing at the door step of graduation. At the exchange, the leaders and lecturers of VJU advised students who plan to study for higher levels as well as introduced scholarship programs for enrolled students at VJU.
