A JAPANESE TEA CEREMONY AND CULTURE EXPERIENCE DAY

Official poster of the event

The tea ceremony is a traditional culture that represents Japan. That spirit is expressed in the four characters “Wakei Seijaku”. The tea ceremony has been preserved and inherited as a guide that can be used every day within various activities. It also acts in a “way” to refine one’s mind, not just feel the change of seasons and enrich life. It is hoped that through this tea ceremony event, many people will be exposed to Japanese culture, a culture that has been nurtured and cherished by the Japanese people for a long time.

On March 18, 2023, Vietnam Japan University cooperated with members of the Urasenke family from Japan to hold a tea ceremony on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. This ceremony will be held at the Vietnam National University Guest House, Hoa Lac Campus. While waiting to enjoy tea, attendees will be able to participate in learning about traditional Japanese folk games, organized by student clubs of Vietnam Japan University. After the tea party ends, there will also be cultural performances and other activities to experience Japanese culture.
