- Required duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as a full time lecturer at Japanese language at Faculty of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. She or he will teach, conduct research and provide specialized academic advice to students in that field. Some key required duties and responsibilities as follows:

| Other Duties and Responsibilities
1. Student Support and Mentoring (08 office hours per week) – Provide academic advising and mentoring to students. – Support students in developing research, analytical, critical thinking, and intercultural communication skills. – Facilitate students’ practical learning through case studies, simulations, project-based learning, and fieldwork. 2. Involvement in development of syllabi and course materials, lesson plans, student assessment methods; curriculum review and adjustment… 3. Involvement in attracting talented students, building relationship with enterprises, organizing international scientific conferences and developing VJU’s brand, and contribution to develop and maintain VJU as an international Centre of Excellence. 4. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s): – Actively participate in program meetings, faculty committees, and academic activities at the faculty and institutional levels (exam invigilator…) – Engage in community service, outreach, or policy-related activities that connect academic knowledge with practice – Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to strengthen interdisciplinary and internationalized education |

- Qualifications
- Requirement for academic degree: Master’s degree or higher in Japanese Language, Japanese Language Education, Japanese Studies or related disciplines. Preference for PhD holders or doctoral candidates.
- Demonstrated teaching experiences at the undergraduate and/or post-graduate.
- Evidence of research and publications in related areas.
- Strong commitment to innovative, student-centered teaching and curriculum development.

Recruitment process
The review of applications and nominations will continue until the position is filled. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Evaluation Committee appointed by the Rector.
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract. Tenure-track or extension of the contract can be offered upon performances.
