From November 15 – 29, 2023, master’s students of the Nanotechnology Program of Vietnam Japan University participated in a specialized internship at Osaka University, the co-coordinating university, and several of businesses in Japan.
During two weeks in Japan, MNT students had the opportunity to practice in the lab with advanced machines at Osaka University. This is a great opportunity for MNT students to gain research experience and professional skills at top facilities in Japan.
Internship is a mandatory module in all master’s training programs at Vietnam Japan University, scheduled for the 3rd semester. Master students are selected based on their first-year academic results to participate in at least a 2-week internship at a coordinating university in Japan. During this time, students will have the opportunity to experience the process of studying and researching, accumulating professional skills at leading research facilities of Japanese Universities. This internship will also allow students to self-evaluate, improve, and build any missing skills and knowledge, providing opportunities to research work on their thesis after graduation. Additionally, these internships will provide valuable experiences for each master’s student about Japanese culture, language, people, and life. Short-term internships in Japan are a foundation for Vietnam Japan University and coordinating universities to strengthen cooperation in student exchange and research.
