On January 17, 2024, a special lecture celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations was held at the Vietnam Japan University (VJU) Hoa Lac campus, organized by the AEON 1% Club Foundation as part of the Teenage Ambassador Program. The lecture was attended by a total of 133 students and teachers, including 50 from Vietnam and 50 from Vietnam.
The AEON 1% Club Foundation aims to support international exchanges among youth through its social contribution activities. The Teenage Ambassador Program is designed to deepen mutual understanding and cultivate a global perspective among young people. The students learned about the historical bonds and the importance of future relations between Vietnam and Japan from Rector Prof. Furuta Motoo.
Representatives and teachers from schools such as Kyoto Municipal Hiyoshigaoka High School, Tsukuba University Affiliated Sakado Senior High School, Okinawa Prefectural Naha Kokusai Senior High School, Konko Gakuen Junior and Senior High School, Le Quy Don High School, Marie Curie High School, Kim Lien High School, Nguyen Hue High School, and Ly Thuong Kiet High School participated, contributing to the promotion of international understanding and friendly relations. Through such events, Vietnam Japan University encourages youth to adopt a global perspective, providing significant opportunities for future international cooperation.
