The year 2023 holds significant importance for the Vietnam Japan University, as it marks several noteworthy events, especially ones that celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. The event of Their Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Akishino visited VNU Vietnam Japan University (VJU) and had a discussion with faculty and students (Bachelor and Master Program) of VJU; this proves the increasingly important role of Vietnam Japan University in the development of the relations between the two countries.
The year 2024 will be a significant milestone for Vietnam Japan University, as it marks the 10th anniversary of its establishment under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, through the issuance of Decision No. 1186/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister of Vietnam. This year marks the graduation of the first batch of students from the Japanese bachelor’s program. In November 2023, the Governments of Japan and Vietnam agreed to upgrade Japan-Vietnam relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world. Vietnam Japan University is committed to assuming an increasingly prominent role as a symbol of the robust and dynamic comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
