Master's Program in Nanotechnology

Laboratory Activities

The Master's Program in Nanotechnology is based on the program of Osaka University (Japan) with some adjustment to match the situation in Vietnam.

The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, deepening the specialized knowledge as well as expand the interdisciplinary knowledge in order to understand the issues related to the Nano-sized world and master the advanced technology in the field of Nano Science.

Through the program, students will be able to accumulate skills in research methods, detecting, analyzing and problem solving abilities, the fabrication process, the materials survey and Nano devices. On that basis, students can research and apply components and nano materials into practice in fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, pharmacology, environment, energy... To update the latest achievements of Nano Science and Technology in the world, some of newest research in the field of Nanotechnology in Vietnam, Japanese and abroad as well will be put into teaching content.

Training method: Fulltime

Teaching language: Vietnamese and English

Location: Vietnam Japan University - My Dinh Campus


Awarded degree: The Degree of Master in Nanotechnology.

Managers, technicians at technology foreign-invested companies, high-tech companies as well as managers, researchers and lecturers at centers, research institutes, universities and state management agencies on science and technology.

  • With a learner-centered training method, students in the program are encouraged to maximize their capabilities and choose research orientation;
  • The program has high practicability, the knowledge of program can be applied into practice. The courses of the program are a combination of theory and practice through lessons in classroom and laboratory;
  • International academic environment with at least 50% of program’s lecturers coming from Japan, modern facilities and laboratories. Students also have the opportunity to participate in scientific projects, cutting-edge research projects which study nanoscale phenomena in various fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, pharmacy, environment, energy... with prestigious professors;
  • Cost of up to three-month internship in Japan;
  • Providing modern knowledge and skills in a multi-cultural context, especially Japanese culture;
  • The advantage of employability and job opportunities in the leading business organizations in Japan, Vietnam and abroad after graduation;
  • The graduates can pursue PhD studies at leading universities of Japan and all over the world.

3. Interview method

The candidate may choose one of the two following interview methods:

  - On-site interview: Candidates are requested to go to VJU campus to participate in a face-to-face interview with the admission committee;

  - Online interview: Only those candidates who cannot join on-site interview at VJU campus due to geographical or work conditions may propose the admissions committee to allow them to take online interview via Internet connection.
