Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is a new university model in Vietnam, the seventh member university under Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU), envisaged to become an internationally recognized university, and a symbol of the close and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
As VNU’s member university, VJU can leverage upon VNU’s intrinsic advantages and resources. In parallel, VJU coordinates intensively with prestigious universities in Japan such as University of Tokyo, Osaka University, University of Tsukuba, Yokohama National University, Waseda University, Ritsumeikan University, Ibaraki University to meet the needs of Vietnamese and also Japanese higher education.

Required duties and responsibilities
- To support the JICA project in facilitating effective communications among stakeholders, including relevant offices/programs in Vietnam-Japan University (VJU). Japanese coordinating universities, partner universities, consortium universities, other relevant organizations and enterprises, to achieve the project’s goals and objectives.
- To assist JICA project in monitoring the progress of the collaboration activities such as the Fund Raising, MOU/Agreement and international exchange.
- To support the JICA project for promoting and enhancing industry-academia collaboration and inter-university collaboration.
- To assist the JICA project to manage the JICA research grant and support VJU to publicize VJU researchers and their research.
- To support JICA experts in necessary administrative procedures.
- To assist the JICA project with other tasks relevant tasks and events.
Qualifications
- Education: University degrees +
- Work experience:
– Minimum 1 year in relevant position
– Working experience in/with Japanese organizations will be considered an advantage
- Foreign language: Be fluent in spoken and written English (IELTS 6+). Proficiency in Japanese will be considered an advantage.
- Preferred skills:
– A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills,
– Ability to work independently with minimum supervision,
– Proficiency in computer skills; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential.
– Strong commitment to learning and self-improvement in any situation

What VJU can offer
Successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package comprising of:
- Basic monthly salary;
- Monthly allowances;
- Others: Following VJU’s regulation.

Recruitment process
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Recruitment Committee established by the Rector.
Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (2 months’ Probationary Period). The Incumbent can be offered another 2-year contract upon the satisfaction of his/her performance.
