MCE field trip

The contents of the program have been updated with the latest knowledge and most advanced technologies from Japan and the world. It focuses on three fields, in which Japan has a superiority.

  • The first is design, construction of transport infrastructure, such as bridges and highways, with modern technologies.
  • The second is planning, management and maintenance of infrastructure projects toward a sustainable development.
  • The third is the utilization of new advanced materials in construction. The program includes general knowledge, fundamental and specific knowledge.
  • The general knowledge courses help students with a broadened view of sustainability science about society and environment. Then the fundamental courses help them accumulate knowledge and core skills related to the field of Infrastructure Engineering. From these knowledge foundation, students can carry out in-depth research in the fields mentioned above.

More than 50% of program’s lecturers come from the University of Tokyo and other prestigious universities in Japan. The program also aims at enhancing practical skills for students through experience in modern laboratories, as well as through a three-month internship in Japan.

Duration: 24 months

Training method: Fulltime

Teaching language: Vietnamese and English

Location: Vietnam Japan University – My Dinh Campus

Awarded degree: The degree of Master in Infrastructure Engineering

After graduation, students will have the skills needed to become managers, consultants, supervisors or inspectors in the public sector or for domestic/foreign enterprises. They will also be able to become researchers or members of the teaching staff at universities or research institutes

  • The program is established based on the program from the University of Tokyo, integrating the practical requirement of Japanese companies and the strength of the leading programs in Vietnam and all over the world in Infrastructure Engineering. The program is highly interdisciplinary along with equips students a broadened view of sustainability science besides knowledge and specialized skills;
  • With a learner-centered training method, students in the program are encouraged to maximize their capabilities and choose research orientation by themselves;- The program has high practicability, the knowledge can be applied in practice immediately. The courses of the program are a combination of theory and practice through lessons in classroom and laboratory;
  • International academic environment with at least 50% of program’s lecturers coming from Japan, with modern facilities and laboratories. Not only that, students also have the opportunity to participate in projects with prestigious professors;
  • Full financial support for 50% of the students who get 3-month internship in Japan;
