Vietnam Japan University (VJU) is a new university model in Vietnam, the seventh member university under Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU), envisaged to become an internationally recognized university, and a symbol of the close and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
As VNU’s member university, VJU can leverage upon VNU’s intrinsic advantages and resources. In parallel, VJU coordinates intensively with prestigious universities in Japan such as University of Tokyo, Osaka University, University of Tsukuba, Yokohama National University, Waseda University, Ritsumeikan University, Ibaraki University to meet the needs of Vietnamese and also Japanese higher education.

Required duties and responsibilities
- Be involved in developing and managing the implementation of VJU’s regulations on cooperation and development.
- Be involved in developing and managing VJU’s local and international partnership network (universities, organizations and private companies).
- Promote and enhance collaboration between VJU and its partners (internship, scholarship, job, exchange students and information…).
- Collect, update and manage the implementation of signed MOU between VJU and its partners.
- Collaborate with education programs to prepare dossiers and apply for approval of organization of international conference/workshop/seminar.
- Support in preparation of meetings with VJU’s partners.
- Support foreign affairs and business trips to abroad; and support foreigners to VJU (passport issue, VISA issue, …).
- Collect, update and manage the database of foreigners who visit and/or come to work at VJU.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters’ degree (graduation in developed countries is an advantage).
- Work experience:
- Minimum 2 years in relevant position.
- Working experiences in cooperation and development in education institutions and familiar with Japanese academic working style are advantages.
- Understanding about visa requirements/application process for foreigners is an advantage.
- Foreign language: Be fluent in spoken and written English (IELTS 6+ or graduated in developed countries using English on study). Proficiency in Japanese will be considered an advantage.
- Preferred skills:
- Having good skills in scientific project management as well as skills in supporting scientific project implementation.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Office.
- Demonstrates ability to work under pressure and make deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment and professional; problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self-motivated; well organized.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and teamwork skills.
- Attitudes:
- High commitment to deadline.
- Highly responsible toward work.
- Responsibility, accountability and services oriented.
What VJU can offer
Successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package comprising of:
- Basic monthly salary: negotiable;
- Monthly meal allowances: 700,000 VND;
- Monthly health care insurance: 500,000 VND;
- 13th month Tet bonus (equally to 1 month of basic monthly salary);
- Others: following VJU’s regulation.

Recruitment process
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by recruitment committee established by the Rector.
Successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (2 months’ probation period). The Incumbent can be offered another 2-year contract upon the satisfaction of his/her performance.
